Elections for PLPR Executive Committee

PLPR is run by volunteers who serve on the Executive Committee (ExCo).

ExCo members are elected by the General Assembly for a two-year term, and they receive no financial remuneration. Office holders may be re-elected for one more term.

Next elections shall take place at our annual conference in Munich, March 18-22, 2024, during a special general assembly session on 22 March 2024.

The positions up for election are: president, vice-president, secretary-general, and Ph.D. student coordinator, each to serve a two years term.

There may be up to two members serving concurrently as vice-president, secretary-general, or PhD-student coordinator; there may be only a single president (see article 11 of the PLPR statutes).

Any PLPR member may run for any one of these offices. If you would do so, please send a letter of intent, indicating the office sought and a short statement of why you wish to serve in that role.

Send your statement to Thomas Hartmann (thomas.hartmann@tu-dortmund.de), who will run the elections as election officer. Please send letters no later than February 16, 2024 (i.e., one month prior to the conference). We will compile the letters of all candidates and distribute them before the conference.
