PLPR thrives thanks to dedicated volunteers on our Executive Committee (ExCo). ExCo members are elected by the General Assembly for two years, serve without financial remuneration, and may be re-elected once.
Our next elections will be held at the annual conference in Atlanta, February 17–20, 2026, during a special General Assembly session.
Positions open (each a two-year term):
- President (one position only, per Article 11 of the PLPR statutes)
- Vice-President (up to two may serve concurrently)
- Secretary-General (up to two may serve concurrently)
- PhD Student Coordinator (up to two may serve concurrently)
Who can run?
Any PLPR member! If you’re passionate about shaping our community’s future, we’d love to hear from you.
How to apply:
Please email a brief letter of intent stating the office you’re seeking and a short statement about why you wish to serve to the 2026 election officer, Thomas Hartmann at thomas.hartmann@tu-dortmund.de.
Deadline: January 17, 2026 (one month before the conference). We’ll compile all letters and share them with members ahead of the event.
Curious about what each role involves? Don’t hesitate to contact any current ExCo member with your questions. You can also find the statutes at www.plpr-association.org and see current office holders at https://plpr-association.org/about-plpr/officeholders/.
Looking forward to seeing you in Atlanta!
